Choosing between DELF B2 exam centres takes a little planning: each centre sets its own dates, fees and registration method, and places go quickly. This guide compares the approved centres in Paris and the Île-de-France region, with their fees and next sessions, then explains how to find a centre near you anywhere in the world. All information was checked on 16 October 2026 on the centres' official websites: always confirm it before paying.
For the general procedure, documents and results times, see also our DELF B2 registration guide.
There is no national registration for the DELF. France Éducation international, the public body that runs the diploma, approves exam centres and publishes their official list for France. It shows about twenty DELF B2 exam centres in the Île-de-France region: universities, the Alliance Française, language schools and training organisations.
After that, everything happens with the centre: it gives you the fee, the dates, the venue and how to register. The diploma is the same everywhere.
| Centre | DELF B2 fee | Sessions and registration |
|---|---|---|
| Alliance Française de Paris (6th) | €280 | Online registration; dates shown after logging in. Adults 18+ only. |
| Sorbonne Nouvelle (12th) | €249 (€174.30 for its students) | Written test 3 February 2027, registration 18 November to 16 December 2026. Next written test 26 May 2027. |
| CCFS, Cours de civilisation française de la Sorbonne (17th) | €269 | Written test 2 December 2026, registration 12 October to 8 November 2026. |
| Sorbonne Université, SELFEE (5th) | Not shown | Limited places, priority to the university's students. |
| Prosodia (20th) | Not shown | Regular sessions for adults; register by post or in person. |
| THOT (1st) | Not shown | Open to external candidates; register by email. |
In Paris, the DELF B2 therefore costs between €249 and €280 at the centres that publish their fee. Fees are generally not refunded if you miss the exam.
Suburban centres are often cheaper and sometimes have more dates. They accept all candidates, wherever they live.
| Centre | DELF B2 fee | Sessions and registration |
|---|---|---|
| CY Cergy Paris Université (Cergy) | €150 | Written test 2 December 2026, oral 4 December; online form. |
| UVSQ, CEREL (Guyancourt) | See the centre's fee sheet | Written tests 2 December 2026, 3 February, 17 March and 26 May 2027; December registration from 19 October 2026. |
| Université Sorbonne Paris Nord (Villetaneuse) | €165 | Two sessions a year, in May and December; online form then a payment link. |
| Centre Zénith, GoDELF (Bezons) | €150 (2026), €156 (2027) | November and December 2026 full; ten sessions open in 2027, registration until the day before if places remain. |
Other organisations on the official list (GRETA adult-education centres, training bodies) also run the DELF, often for their own trainees. Contact them directly if one is close to you.

Several centres share the same written-test dates. Here are the ones we found:
| Written test | Centres (examples) |
|---|---|
| 2 December 2026 | CCFS, CY Cergy, UVSQ (GoDELF full) |
| 13 January 2027 | GoDELF |
| 3 February 2027 | Sorbonne Nouvelle, UVSQ, GoDELF |
| 17 March 2027 | UVSQ, GoDELF |
| 26 May 2027 | Sorbonne Nouvelle, UVSQ, GoDELF |
The written test is often on a Wednesday at 2 pm. The oral can be the same day or up to a week later depending on the centre: at Sorbonne Nouvelle, for example, the February 2027 orals run from 11 to 13 February.
The diploma and the papers are the same everywhere: only the cost of running the exam changes. Each centre sets its own fee depending on its rooms, its examiners and its status. Universities vote their fees at board level and often offer a reduced price to their own students. Alliance Française de Paris includes a handling fee in its price. Some suburban organisations run many sessions and can charge less.
In practice, paying more gives you no advantage on your score: marking follows the same official grid at every centre. So first choose a date that leaves you time to prepare, then the cheapest and easiest-to-reach centre among those offering it.
A few days before the exam, the centre sends a notice of attendance with the exact address, time and, often, the date of your oral. Read it carefully: in Paris, the written and oral tests are not always held in the same building.
For the oral, you get 30 minutes of preparation, then about 20 minutes with two examiners. Our speaking topics will help you prepare.
Many candidates take the DELF B2 for two reasons. First, French citizenship: since 1 January 2026, B2 level is required, and the DELF B2 is one of the diplomas that prove it. Second, studies: most French universities require B2 level for undergraduate entry. In both cases, the diploma is valid for life.
If you have a firm deadline, check with the administration or university which diploma it accepts, then pick a session that leaves you time to receive your results and, if needed, to retake the exam.
If you searched for a "DELF B2 exam near me", the method is the same wherever you live.
The DELF B2 is offered all over the world. France Éducation international's world map of DELF B2 exam centres lets you pick your country and see the nearest ones: Instituts français, Alliances Françaises, universities. Calendars differ from country to country, so contact the centre directly for dates and the fee in local currency.
In the United States, the DELF network is coordinated by Villa Albertine, and most centres are Alliances Françaises in major cities, plus some international schools. The official US list shows about forty centres. If none is in your city, look at the nearest large city and, before registering, ask the centre whether the written papers and the oral can be scheduled on the same day or close together, so you travel as little as possible.
Results usually arrive 4 to 8 weeks after the session, depending on the centre. You first receive a certificate of achievement, useful for an urgent application, then the official diploma, which the centre hands over or sends several months later. Keep it safe and make copies: it is the document you will be asked for when applying for citizenship or university.
If you fail, you can register for a later session, at the same centre or elsewhere. Look at your marks for each paper: they show exactly where to focus your revision before the next attempt.
Once registered, you usually have 6 to 10 weeks before the written test. It is the right time to take a full mock exam and target your weak points. Start with our free B2 level test, then follow our 8-week study plan and practise with our new-format DELF B2 tests.
If you are taking the DELF B2 for French citizenship, remember this level has been required since 1 January 2026: leave room for a possible second attempt.
In Paris, expect €249 to €280 at the central DELF B2 exam centres that publish their fees, and €150 to €165 at several centres in the Île-de-France region. Choose by date, fee and how the oral is organised, register as soon as registration opens and always check the centre's website. Then it is time to prepare.
